The 21st ORF Radio Steiermark Run Bad Waltersdorf took place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, under ideal running conditions in Styria’s Thermal & Volcanic Land, inspiring around 1,250 participants and numerous visitors from across the region.
This long-standing running event is one of the most important sporting events in Styria and was once again a fixed part of the 17th Thermal & Volcanic Land Running Cup in 2026. The event was organized by the Hikimus Event & Advertising Agency, which, together with numerous volunteers, ensured a perfect execution.
Sporting Highlight in Bad Waltersdorf
The ORF Radio Steiermark Run once again transformed Bad Waltersdorf into a center for running sports. Amateur runners, ambitious athletes, and numerous young talents took to the start on varied routes through the rolling hills of the Bad Waltersdorf 2-Thermal Region.
The event offered competitions for all performance levels:
- Main Run
- Hobby and Fun Run distances
- Children’s and Youth Runs
The focus was not only on athletic performance but also on community, movement, and the special running experience in one of Styria’s most beautiful regions.
2026 Winners
Special attention was given this year to the fastest runners of the day in all competitions. With impressive performances, the winners in the respective distances prevailed against a strong field of participants, providing sporting excitement along the route and in the finish area in the center of Bad Waltersdorf.
Whether in the half marathon, the middle and short distances, or the youth competitions – strong athletic performances were shown across all categories, resulting in well-deserved victories.
